How to get started with Web 2.0 in your classroom. I'll cover Webmail (Gmail), collaborative tools like Delicious, Diijgo, Google Calendar and publishing tools like blogs and twitter. This will be just an overview on Web 2.0 tools for your school.

Feb 04

What’s everyone wanting out of this class? This might help attract a facilitator.

By default I will tell how to use the usual Web 2.0 tools like webmail, twitter, blogs and google calendar. If you have any ideas or requests, please post them here.

Important note! Due to scheduling conflicts, this class did not occur, so the above ranking is not accurate and does not reflect an opinion of this class. Please disregard.

I hate it when students don't show up in class and leave bad feedback. Can't this class be removed please?

I guess there was glitch in the system. I waited with Ben in the classroom until 10 minutes after official start but nobody else showed up. If there is still interest, I can schedule the class again.

I am sorry,Benjamin and Marian! It is my fault that I didn't mention that I am working at that time as I work in Centre of Foreign Languages where lessons take place in the afternoons and evenings. I thought I could watch it later recorded. sorry again. Let me know if you schedule the lesson again.

what would be a good time to reschedule. Shall I do it next week same day and same time or would anybody prefer earlier/later or another day?

You might consider setting up a Doodle meeting poll.

Hello Marian, before you decide to not reschedule, I'd ask that you go ahead and reschedule a specific time that you can do it, about two weeks in advance, and we can all help promote this very important session on such an interesting topic. Another option would be to present something in our first Academic Saturday (see forum)! The value in offering this class, in my view, is not just the number of participants but the recording that you will produce which will help many others who possibly cannot make the live session. Please reconsider! :)
